AESTHETICS AND THE THEORETICAL
The Balmond Studio aesthetic is vast. A never-ending well of the alien. This is due to Cecil Balmond's unique philosophy and methodology. Concepts such as the informal, algorithm as structural generator, animate geometry and design as unbounded coded node, culminate to form a bizarre world bursting with aesthetic intrigue. We simply created a platform for his investigation.
Coupled with these semi-autonomous visuals – containing little to no context – we created content on the theoretical. It was up to the community to join the dots. In other words, an individual could learn about the thinking and then interpret the visuals through this new lens – drawing their own emotive conclusions.
